The opportunities for harvest are great, but the workers are few, leading to our heart-cry at APSAI, “Lord, send us workers for the harvest.” With fewer than a half-million Christians among a population of nearly 66 million, Thailand is both the most Buddhist nation in the world and the least reached among all predominantly Buddhist nations in the world. Thailand, a nation where less than 0.3% of the ethnic Thai people have a relationship with Jesus Christ, is crying out for a witness.
At APSAI, university students under the mentorship of experienced missionaries are connected to local Thailand Assemblies of God churches and relevant parachurch ministries. In teams of two or three, our students pioneer new works or join with ongoing works at their Thai church, working together to reach the people of Thailand for Christ. Ministry experiences range from teaching English, to serving children and youth in low income communities, to university outreach and other opportunities that engage the personal and spiritual gifts of our students. Through your commitment to a semester in Thailand, you will have a platform to be the only physical representation of Christ that many people in this a majority-Buddhist minority-Muslim nation will ever see.
The APSAI Fall semester is designed for students of all majors whose school will accept a three credit hour field studies course that includes a mix of language, culture, and missiological studies. Students must take additional classes online to meet their school's minimum requirements for full time status.
