Baseball Ministry Internship & Discipleship

At Turn2 Ministries, we’re looking for passionate athletic interns with a baseball background who are eager to serve others and make a lasting positive impact through both their actions and personal relationship with Jesus Christ. We are committed to stepping outside the walls of the church and engaging with a culture that deeply needs the love and hope of Jesus.

As an intern with us in the city of Santo Domingo, you will support missionaries with their short-term mission teams, develop baseball clinics and workshops, evangelize alongside local churches, and collaborate with pastors and community leaders in the Dominican Republic.

Qualifications:

• Experience & Background:

  • Baseball Experience: A strong background in baseball is essential.
  • Spanish: While not required, Spanish proficiency is a helpful asset.
  • Volunteer/Community Service: Previous experience in volunteering or community service is a plus.
  • Willingness to Learn: Eagerness to learn and grow in both athletic and spiritual formation dimensions.

  • Leadership: Demonstrate the ability to lead and inspire others, whether in sports or other areas of life.
  • Teamwork: Proven ability to collaborate effectively and work with a team towards shared goals.
  • Adaptability: Openness to adapting skills and experiences to fit different contexts and needs.
  • Empathy & Support: A compassionate heart for others, fostering encouragement and a positive environment.   

During this this internship you will participate in discipleship with the missionaries. We want to help you see personal development by the end of your time with us. Our hope is to see you build character through the development of virtues like humility, patience, and compassion. Ultimately, we both win when you learn to integrate various spiritual disciplines into your daily life! This internship will equip you to grow personally and spiritually while serving in a cross-cultural environment. • Dates: (approximate dates) July 7th-October 12th, 2025 -3 months dates are flexible
• Costs: 

  • For stays under 1 month: $100/day + plane ticket (covers housing, transportation, food, insurance, ministry supplies, and tourist activities- no visa required because it is included with your plane ticket if your stay is less than 30 days)
  • For stays of 1-6 months: $2,015/month + plane ticket (covers housing, transportation, food, insurance, ministry supplies, tourist activities.)
