Editor (Bilingual, Spanish)

The basic function of his position is to manage the instructional design, editing, proofreading, revising and production of course and non-course materials. Reports to the UMD Director, communicates and collaborates with all departments needing editorial services (Inventory Production, course writers, Deans, etc.) Specific duties include: applying appropriate format and style to documents with attention to instructional design (ID); serving as ID liaison between course writer and appropriate dean; reviewing manuscripts for consistency and conformance to UMD style, making suggestions for reorganization of material, reviewing content for accuracy, etc.; and completing final preparation and review of materials before printing.
