Maintenance Specialist

The basic function of this position is to coordinate and monitor building and grounds facility needs and services for Global University. The specialist supervises and monitors the control of the University’s environmental equipment (HVAC) and repairs and maintains general GU property functions (e.g., exterior lighting, flags, and trash containers). Also, the specialist maintains general landscaping, sidewalks, and parking lots, including snow removal during the winter. Qualifications include general knowledge of facilities and grounds maintenance and repair, a “Class E” driver’s license, ability to lift 70 pounds in order to perform specific building and grounds duties and the ability to work with minimum supervision.
