University Ministry Internship

MULTIPLE COUNTRIES: The REDU (Red Universitaria - "University Network") internship is a 2-year program that is targeted at individuals who want to reach the universities of Latin America Caribbean (LAC) and are open to the possibility of serving as career missionaries. The goal of the program is that the intern would leave the program fully equipped to pioneer REDU in Latin America Caribbean. The intern would receive 2 semester (approx. 8 months) of language learning in Costa Rica. The remaining 14 months of the assignment will be facilitated in a highly hands-on training environment with both on-campus and practical classroom elements.

On the campus, the interns will be heavily involved in the students’ lives, leading a life group, meeting with leaders 1-on-1, leadership development, doing weekly outreaches on campus, and helping with trainings around the country as well as ministry retreats and conferences. The classroom element will include these themes: University Missionary Qualities, Personal Competencies, Ministry Skill Competencies, Intellectual and Educational Competencies, Relating to the National Church, and Cultural Observances.

Qualifications: Servant heart, eagerness to learn, passion for university ministry, Spanish is helpful but not required, and a desire to invest in personal relationships.
